Are You Freakin' Kidding Me?

First of all, 

Who can believe that little Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) 

 is 30 years old?? He looks exactly the same!

He made headlines earlier this week, to announce the ending of his eight year relationship with girlfriend,

Mila Kunis.

When I read this on the internet, my first thought was that they were a weird couple anyway.  Second, was how have they been dating for eight years and I never even knew it, and I really like That 70's Show.

What really made me interested in the break up was the reason for the actual break...can anyone guess the reason?

Here is a quote from Mila herself on the prospect of marriage and children "Not to say that I don't believe in it (marriage), but it's just not something that is important to me.  But I will have children.  I'm too selfish to have them now, but when I do, I don't feel like I need to be married.  I need to have a person in my life who will care for me and my children--nothing else."

IS SHE KIDDING??

You're going to throw away a relationship that obviously had something working for it for eight years because you don't want to get married?  If you plan on having kids and having someone to take of you, well that sounds an awful lot like a husband to me.  Do everyone a favor and get over yourself Mila.

Jake's Beard...

A lot of people ask me how I feel about Jake's beard,

I had no idea that this would be a something that people would want

to ask me so much about. It's mostly women, they want to know if

it bothers me or hurts me since we are married now and it is no secret

that we like to smooch. To this, ladies, I say no

I LOVE his beard!

Why you ask.

Well, I'll tell you.

His beard feels good when it brushes against my neck

and I think it makes him look oh so handsome and distinguished.

He's only ever had a smooth face one time in the entire time

that we've known each other. I do like for him to keep it

trimmed and nice, I don't like when he starts looking shaggy.

Either way, I'm not down with this.

BUT...

I LOVE Jake's beard, just the way it is!

Blog Goals...

Obviously I have recently decided to get serious about this blog...
             -I've created pages-still under construction
             -I've posted a lot more than usual
             -I have been reading more and following more blogs
             -I've joined networked blogs on Facebook
             -I've gone from 12 followers to 15

I hope to...
            -create a blog that people other than Jake and my sister WANT to read
            -go from 15 followers to 50 or 100 by the end of the year
            -Post at least five days a week
            -Create a blog button...I have no idea how to do this!
            -Take more pictures to post

I'm sure I'll come up with more and add them as they come to me...But if any of you could help with these goals that would be perfect!

This simple question makes me want to have a baby very soon and also wait for as long as possible just to see how long people will continue to ask...

P.S. I don't mind being asked this question, I just find it very entertaining and sometimes a bit awkward.

Today and Every day...

Happy New Year!

Jake and I had a few people over last night to celebrate the coming in of brand new year full of new opportunities and memories to be made.  The first memory made in this new year was after people left to go home and snuggle and go to bed.  Jake and I were being nerds and checking Facebook before heading to bed ourselves and the New Years concerts were playing on the tv in the background.  Train was introduced back on stage to sing their new song "Marry Me," and my sweet husband gets up and asks me to dance in the living room  to this sweet song.  I wasn't sure if I liked this song until last night, but now I love it and I've been humming it ever since.  So today and every day of this year I'm looking forward to the sweet memories that we get to make together.

Here's to the bright New Year, and a fond farewell to the old...

2010 has definitely been a life changing year, as I've reflected back over the past 12 months it is hard to believe how much has changed in such a short amount of time.  In the spirit of New Year's Eve here are some of my favorite moments from the past year: 

JANUARY: Here's to the baby that has changed the lives of everyone in my family for the better. His coming in the world started our year off right. Watching him grow has definitely been one of the highlights of our year. Read about his birth here.

Jake and I also got our first child...before we were married or even engaged (SHHH!) and my how he's grown. We got him when he was a little baby that I could hold like one and now he's a 65 pound toddler dog and we love him so much!

MARCH: Jake gave me some bling and asked me to marry him (read about that here). I asked him if he was serious and then said YES.

MAY: Engagement pictures! My best friend from high school took these for us and she did a fantastic job if I do say so myself!

JUNE: ROAD TRIP! We made our way up to NYC and Boston!

AND...

Our first wedding shower!

  JULY: Trip to Washington, D.C. for Justin and Ashley's wedding.

I was a slacker and didn't take pictures during Thanksgiving or Christmas, I was a little busy soaking up time of relaxation and family, but rest assured they are always on the list of best moments of this year.

I am looking so forward to this upcoming year...who knows what it may bring...another puppy? a baby (cough cough...just kidding!)? finishing painting my house...graduating!!!  Anyway, I look forward to sharing it with all of you!
